If you’re still wondering if mobile is important for business success, check out this infographic from QuickSprout. Even if you are not quite ready for a total website redesign, you can still create a mobile friendly landing page. Then just add a snippet of code to your website to redirect mobile visitors to that landing page!
You may have noticed some new options for creating mobile and web landing pages, in addition to your Facebook page tabs. Well, the new landing page designer is now officially live!
To get started, just install an app to your page just like you would a Facebook tab. Instead of picking one of our Facebook apps, select the Mobile Landing 1 or Web Landing 1 apps. For now we allow for 1 web and 1 mobile landing page for each of your Facebook business pages.
After installing the app, design your page using the PageBuildr same as you do for Facebook pages.
Once you’ve designed your mobile landing page, just click the mobile phone icon and click the green Share button.
The first time you do this you will need to click the blue Generate button to create the bit.ly short URL and QR Code.
After you create the short URL, you should see this:
If you want links and stats tracked under your own bit.ly account, just enter in your bit.ly info under Accounts->My Networks. You can always add this info later and re-generate the short URL as shown above.
You can then share your new URL to send traffic to your landing page. We’re also working on a “smart” URL which you can use to automatically direct traffic to your landing pages based on the type of device your visitors are using. More info on that soon…
